WEST SIDE PROJECT LAUNCH, AKA: "WEST SIDE PROUD"

OVERVIEW

Morgado won the bid to collaborate with a community-driven team of change-makers to develop the strategy for launching the West Side Project Launch initiative. The mission of the 5-year, $750,000 federal grant was to connect local children (0-8 years of age) and their families with wellness-related resources and programs to better prepare the kids for a successful academic future.

STRATEGY

While the West Side neighborhood has faced its share of challenges, there was no shortage of pride among its residents for its community and people. Our approach was to build on residents’ community pride by developing the campaign theme: “West Side Proud.” From there, a comprehensive informational outreach campaign was born featuring faces and profiles of those administering services within the program through an array of communication vehicles–both digital and print.
